Base Layers
Before you put on any of your outer layers, you’ll need to find some breathable base layers. Standard base layers are usually a long-sleeve top and leggings, but you’ll want to make sure these are made from synthetic materials as this will help wick moisture away from your skin to keep you as dry as possible.

Fleece
Between your base layers and outer layers, it can be handy to have an extra mid layer. Most people opt to wear a fleece as they are comfy to travel to and from the slopes in, plus they are light enough to not feel cumbersome while actually skiing. If you get cold easily, it is recommended that you go for a ¼ zip fleece rather than one with a full length zip, as this will trap more warm air.
Outerwear

Ski Jackets
One of the most essential items to pack when you go skiing is your ski jacket. There are a wide variety of ski jackets on the market, some with extra insulation and padding and others that are a shell style and more ideal for warmer conditions (or if you’ve run out room while packing!). Most ski jackets have cuffs around the waist and wrists to prevent snow from getting in.
At My Printed Clothing, we offer a range of ski jackets, all of which can be personalised with a name or logo of your choice – perfect if you’re after personalised ski gear for your club or resort!
Ski Trousers
Ski trousers, also known as salopettes, are another essential warm and waterproof layer for skiing. Your ski trousers should also have cuffs around the ankles to prevent snow seeping in and keep you comfortable and toasty!
Accessories
Ski Socks
Ski socks tend to be knee-high and padded so that they protect your legs and ankles from rubbing against your ski boots. They will help to wick moisture away from your feet and keep your toes extra warm. Just don’t be tempted to put two pairs on at once – this will only cut off your blood supply and make your feet feel colder!

Ski Hat
It is important that while your skiing your head stays warm. That’s why we stock a range of ski hats at My Printed Clothing, all of which are available to be customised by either print or embroidery with a design or logo of your choice. Choose from our selection of styles and colour combinations to find the perfect ski hat for your next trip to the slopes!
Gloves
There’s nothing worse than having cold hands! That’s why it is essential that you pack a thick pair of gloves or ski mittens to keep your hands warm and dry while skiing. Mittens tend to be warmer as your fingers are together and sharing heat, but gloves allow you to move your hands more easily so you can better grip your ski poles.

Neck Warmers
Neck warmers, sometimes called buffs, are another essential piece of ski gear, designed to keep your neck and ears warm under your helmet. On chilly days you can pull the neck warmer up over your mouth, or you can opt for a balaclava that keeps your entire head covered apart from your eyes.
Along with these clothing items, you will also want to bring a pair of goggles and a helmet, but these are often available to rent on site.
